How do I order from you?
1. Browse our online meat showcase and find the products you’d like to order 2. Select how much meat you’d like + how you’d like it packed and then click the “Add to Order” button. 3. Once you’re finished shopping, click on “Cart” ( top right of menu bar) to review your order and see your estimated total cost. 4. Click “Proceed to Checkout” and follow the instructions on screen. Leave any special requests in the “order notes” box. 5. Click “Place Order” button to send your order to our Mighty Nice butchers 6. You collect from our store at Stockland Cairns. Free local (4870 area) delivery is available for orders over $300. We can arrange delivery to boats and people living in Cape York or remote areas anywhere in Australia (POA)
Can I pay online?
No. We will call you within 24 hours to confirm receipt of your order and take payment details over the phone. We accept VISA and MasterCard with zero fees. A 2.5% payment processing fee applies to all AMEX payments. We also accept direct bank deposit. Just ask us for our bank details when we call to confirm your order.
Why can’t I pay online?
Because we’re dealing with meat products that may differ slightly from each other by weight, the final cost for your order will almost always be slightly different from the price quoted to you when you placed your order. No two animals are exactly the same. Rather than process your payment online and then have to issue a refund (or take another payment) after we’ve cut your meat, we’ve found it’s easier to give you a call and take your payment details over the phone and then charge you once the final weights are known – please also see “what is the 10% rule” below. We prefer to process your payment after we have: Confirmed your order with you on the phone (or by email if phone is not an option) Made sure everything you’ve ordered is in-stock and available when you need it Cut and weighed your products
What is the 10% rule
If the final cost of your order varies by more than 10% (i.e. 10% less or 10% more) than the estimate you were quoted during your online checkout, we will contact you to explain. If it falls within 10% under/over what you saw during checkout we will go ahead and take payment without calling/contacting you again.
I live in Cape York or the Gulf - can I order meat online?
Yes! Infact the reason we created this website to help folk like you access high quality, free range and gourmet meats as if you’re living in town. No minimum order value applies for remote orders. We will cryovac and freeze your meat and then deliver it to your chosen freight depot in Cairns free of charge. All you need to do is tell us which freight/transport company you use (and your freight account number, if you have one) on the checkout page when you send us your order.

Freight:

  • 99% of our remote customers and fishing boats have their own regular freight accounts and provide us with their account/consignment details at the time of order. We have found it’s easier for our customers outside of Cairns to organise their own freight. If you need help with freight, just ask us. We’re happy to assist as much as possible.
How long does it take to prepare my order?
This is the million dollar question! Preparation time varies, depending on the size of your order, whether all items are in stock and whether or not you’d like collection or delivery. As a GUIDE only: Small Orders (a few items, or just tonight’s family dinner) – click before 10am & collect same day. Orders placed after 10am are not always able to be collected on the same day. Medium Orders (stocking up the family freezer) – 48 hours from order to collection. Please allow an extra 24 hours on top of this if you need your order to be frozen for transport. Large/Remote Orders (150+kg of meat) – minimum of 4 days, possibly one week. To be on the safe side, please allow up to two days for processing of the order before allocation to the next available delivery /collection date. This is a guide only and is subject to change. We will contact you to confirm your collection/delivery date and time. Orders received before 10am Monday-Friday will commence processing on the next day. Orders received after 10am will commence processing on the following business day i.e. 2 days after you place your order online. Orders received on Saturday or Sunday will commence processing ASAP, but usually on the next Monday. We will always talk to you about this on the phone or by email.
Can you deliver my order?
Yes we sure can! As long as your order meets our minimum value of $300 we will deliver it to your chosen local address in our refrigerated delivery truck. We happily deliver to houses, hotels, offices, boats and caravan parks in the Cairns (4870) area. Orders under $300 can be placed online and collected from our shop inside Stockland Cairns, 537 Mulgrave Road Earlville. Please Note: Our delivery driver does not carry cash or EFTPOS facilities. All orders are required to be paid by credit card over the phone or direct bank transfer prior to delivery.
Where do you deliver to?
We offer free local delivery to the following suburbs/postcodes for orders over $300.
  • Cairns CBD & inner suburbs – all suburbs in 4870
  • Bayview Heights, Woree, Mt Sheridan, Whiterock – all suburbs in 4868
  • Bentley Park only in 4869
  • Smithfield, Kamerunga, Holloways, Yorkey’s Knob, Caravonica – all suburbs in 4878
  • Trinity Beach, Trinity Park & Kewarra Beach only in 4879
  • Can I order & collect on the same day?
    Maybe…it depends what time you place your order and how big it is. We prefer at least 24 hours’ notice, however if your order is moderate in size and you place it before lunch time, we will do our best to get it ready for you to collect that same day. Please see the question above – “How Long does it take to prepare my order” for more detail about order deadlines and processing times.
    Who organises freight to Weipa, Cape York & the Gulf
    99% of our remote customers and fishing boats have their own regular freight accounts and provide us with their account/consignment details on the checkout page at the time of order. We have found our customers outside of Cairns prefer to organise their own freight. If you need help with freight, just ask us. We’re happy to assist as much as possible. We will deliver your order vacuum packed and frozen in meal size portions to any freight depot in the Cairns area free of charge.   • How come you charged me more/less for my order than I was quoted in online checkout?
    Because we’re dealing with meat products that may differ slightly from each other by weight, the final cost for your order will almost always be slightly different from the price quoted online when you placed your order. By slightly we mean by no more than 10% under or over your original quote – we call this “The 10% Rule”. We do our absolute best to cut, roll, bone and dice to the exact weight you’ve asked for, however some animals are smaller/larger than others and it’s not always possible for us to be 100% spot on. If the final cost of your order varies by more than 10% under or over the estimate you were given online, we will call you to explain. If the final total of your order falls within 10% (under or over) the online estimate you saw during checkout we will go ahead and take payment without contacting you again.
    Is there a minimum value or quantity for placing an order online?
    No job is too big or too small for our Mighty Nice Butchers! Click and collect is available for orders large and small. Free local delivery is available for orders over $300.
    Does Vacuum packing (cryovac) cost extra?
    No way! Vacuum packing is free. We will prepare your meat in meal size portions and cryovac vacuum pack it for no extra charge. They don’t call us Mighty Nice for nothing 😉
    Do you keep my credit card details on file?
    No. We destroy all credit card and/or bank account information immediately after successful transaction. More detail about how we store and use your information is in our privacy policy.
    What payment methods do you accept?
