In response to demand from our customers, we are now selling fresh and frozen organic meat in Cairns. We have carefully selected the organic farms and primary producers who supply our organic meats based on months of research and testing about their history, product quality, accreditation compliance and location. All of our organic meat is organic certified by Australian standards.

Fresh cuts are available in-store (and online!) every second Thursday. We have limited stock of fresh, organic meat available, so be quick! We welcome orders placed in advance. Various cuts frozen and cryovaced in 500g-1kg packets are available every day.
Organics is not just chemical free or free range, it is about the way food is grown and handled throughout the whole production system. Organic standards insist on recycling, biodiversity as well as reparation of any soil and water degradation.

Our tender, natural, organic lamb comes from family farmers Adrian & Margaret Tiller in South Western QLD. The Tillers produce excellent quality beef and lamb on certified organic grass plains of the Maranoa District. Organic lamb at Mighty Nice meats is free range, grass fed, antibiotic-free, chemical-free, hormone-free and growth promotant-free. The animals are treated humanely and calmly, with care and attention right through to the slaughtering process. The Tiller’s farming practices are environmentally friendly and sustainable. It is for all of these reasons we chose to bring their products to the people of Cairns.
Organic Chicken at Mighty Nice Meats comes from Australia’s leading producer of organic free-range chicken; Inglewood. Inglewood farm is in south east Queensland, on the southern edge of the Darling Downs, between Warwick and Goondiwindi.
Inglewood organic chickens are raised with special attention to their health and wellbeing. They eat organic feed and their farm does not use chemical fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides.
Depending on the time of year, Mighty Nice organic beef comes from one of two places. Simone and Shane Tully’s 8,000 acre, certified organic cattle property 340kms west of Brisbane near the Queensland/New South Wales border or the property of fourth generation organic pioneers, Matt and Julie O’Leary in the NSW Elong district. Both the Tully’s the the O’Leary’s raise cattle on pastures free of synthetic chemicals, herbicides and pesticides. The cattle are raised ethically and sustainably without use of any antibiotics, hormones, preservatives, growth promotants or genetically modified organisms (feeds).
Mighty Nice organic, free range pork and nitrate free small goods are from Stannary Hills in Mutchilba, Far North Queensland. Jan and Graham Godfrey established organic livestock paddocks, vegetable growing sites and a citrus orchard on their 150 acre, family owned and operated property on the Atherton Tablelands and gained A-grade organic certification status in 2000.
